A new range of Indian simmer sauces, ready to eat meals and foodservice sauces from Taste of India Foods will shortly be available in the UK. The range includes the iTQi Taste awards winning Butter Chicken simmer sauce, part of a range of 4 sauces. All are available in 375g shelf-stable spout pouches, with a 24-month shelf life. Each pouch serves two.
The foodservice range of sauces also includes 4 varieties. They come in 2kg shelf-stable spout pouches (18-20 servings) and have an 24-month shelf life. The six varieties of vegetarian ready to eat meals come in 350g microwavable pots, with one serving per pack. All the Taste of India range is free from gluten, MSG, food stabilisers, artificial colours, flavours and preservatives.
Taste of India Foods is part of the Foods Pacific group, based in Fiji. Foods Pacific has offices in North America, Australia, New Zealand, India and the UK. The company produces a range of simmer sauces, ready to eat meals, spice pastes, vegetarian dishes and dhal and works closely with its sister company, Taste of Rice. Taste of India’s product range is currently available in Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
Cartmell Design work closely with Taste of India Foods, having been involved in the initial concept design, branding and marketing phase of their entire range. We worked in conjunction with the Bestway cash and carry group in the run up to the UK launch, securing exclusivity for the products in Bestway and Bately cash and carry stores and Best One retail outlets nationwide.
Our new sister company, Kana Foods Marketing Ltd, will act as agents for the Taste of India brand. Kana Foods will continue to work with Taste of India to promote the brand in the UK, through organisation of activities such as in-store sampling.
The products will be available for sale in December 2014.
